Description

Product Technical Specification: Pure Epoxy Powder Coating Series

1. Product Description

This product series is a thermosetting pure epoxy powder coating formulated with epoxy resin and curing agent as the main components, supplemented by necessary pigments, fillers and additives. Manufactured through melt extrusion and grinding processes, it possesses excellent physical properties, chemical properties and decorative performance.
The series can be customized to meet specific requirements, including different curing temperatures (130℃~200℃), textures (smooth, sand, hammer tone, cotton-like finish) and gloss levels (2%~95%).

2. Storage Conditions

Store in an environment with temperature below 25℃ and relative humidity below 60%. The shelf life is 6 months. Beyond this period, the product must pass re-inspection before use.

3. Powder Curing Requirements

  • 180℃ for 15 minutes (workpiece temperature)
  • 200℃ for 10 minutes (workpiece temperature)
  • For matte products, the curing time needs to be extended by 5 minutes. Please refer to the product's test report for details.
Note: Pure epoxy products have poor temperature resistance and are generally recommended only for heavy-functional and light-decorative applications, or as primer powder.

4. Operation Process and Parameters

Substrate Type Surface Treatment
Ordinary Steel Zinc Phosphate Treatment
Galvanized Steel Sheet Iron Phosphate Treatment
Aluminum Material Chromating Treatment

Pre-treatment Requirements:

  1. Thoroughly clean the substrate to remove grease before the above treatments, then dry it. The drying temperature shall not exceed 200℃ to avoid damaging the pre-treatment film, which may result in the final powder coating failing to meet performance requirements.
  2. For castings (especially castings) and hot-dip galvanized workpieces: High-temperature treatment must be performed to remove internal moisture and gases before spraying to prevent bubble formation. Please notify us in advance to make necessary formula adjustments accordingly.
Additional Note: Customers shall conduct regular quality inspections of the operation process and parameters in accordance with their suppliers' requirements.
